Tannis Froeze came over to Australia for the 1st World Alpaca Conference. Based in Manatoba, near WInnipeg Beach, Canada. Tannis saw whilst over here in Australia, some of the advanced breeding that has been undertaken by a number of studs in Australia, and believed that some of these genetics could be a valuable asset to her breeding goals, as well as an asset to the Canadian Herd.
To accomplish her dream, Mariah Hill took on the task of opening the door to Canada.
This did take a lot of negotiation with Canada, but Raelene's don't give up attitude, meant that even when it seemed too hard, kept looking for the right way to approach both governments.
8/8/08, Raelene was given permission to start the first quarantine of 2.5 months to Canada. Tannis, at her end now is making all the arrangments to greet the alpacas on 10th November 2008, with much excitement. Once this group arrives in Canada, arrangements can be made to have other shipments to Canada via Mariah Hill ALpacas & Exports.
Any questions, please give Raelene a call on +61359425722 or email mariahhill@bigpond.com

3rd September, 2008....Vet check all alpacas, microchip each alpaca, as you can see from the photos, the Microchip is located at the base of left ear. Photos of each alpaca as they were microchipped. The halo object the vet is holding is the microchip reader, which will accompany the alpacas at all times, and on their journey home. The red object is the microchip inserter, each alpaca was gently held so that the vet, Dr Tim Henderson, could apply each with the littlist discomfort. All alpacas coped no worries.
